How It Started
Isa and Johnny first met back in middle school, and that friendship turned into something more freshman year at Patriot High School. What started as high school sweethearts has now lasted a decade — and counting.
Ten Years Together
Right after Johnny graduated college, the two of us moved in together into our own apartment in 2023. Not long after, we got our puppy Sadie — and the three of us have lived together ever since.
The Proposal
For years, Johnny's family river property on the Shenandoah has been one of our favorite places in the world — countless summers spent floating the water, soaking up the sun, and losing track of time together, just the two of us and the mountains. So on May 9, 2026, it only felt right that Johnny brought Isa back there, got down on one knee on the rocks in the middle of the river, and asked her to spend forever with him. Surrounded by the place that had already given them so many happy memories, she said yes.
